Coordinates: chilling at Leonore, my local Spanish place with the best locally-made ceramics to eat off of, plus well… tapas. I finished my matcha latte a long time ago.
[music] Did you know you just reach out to the amazing people making amazing beauty on the internet? I filled out the contact form on Chris’s website, and we had a music lesson together last week. It was fantastic. Anyway, check out his jam on an instrument I didn’t previously know existed.
[moar music] Asal is called the Queen of Daf for good reason. I love the quiet look of a badass doing what she loves best.
[serious sanity] I hit a point of freak-out last week where I could not tell my ass from a hole in the ground. In such moments, I lay down with my pillow over my head and slip off into the heartbeat of the drum.
These moments have been some of the most significant turning points in my journey. It was a voyage with this drum beat that pointed me to Mexico. It’s essential medicine for me.
[synchronicity] What is synchronicity good for? Does seeing the exact kind of car I’m thinking of buying tell me the universe wants me to have it? No, not really. Working with synchronicities requires a process of calibration and maturation. The Alchemist by Paul Coehlo gives us an archetypal tale of such a journey’s ups and downs.
[sillies] This is good for a laugh but also there are some seriously cool facts about why some animals have round, vertical, or horizontal pupils. Ze Frank always delivers the goods with his signature dose of weird.
maiden voyage : West Coast tour
I’m aiming for a tour back through the US to offer ceremonies in August and September. Possible locations include San Diego, LA, SF, Salt Lake, Portland, Eugene, and Seattle.
I work 1:1, with couples, and in small groups. Get in touch for more details.
