Coordinates: chilling at Leonora, my local vibe for coffee and tapas.
By any chance are you already part of a hive mind or building one? I’m diving into how to create a group with the intention of creating a shared awareness aka “collective eyes” like the compound eye of the dragon fly for sensemaking. If this is your jam, holler at me, boo.
[ear candy] Eric Brown interview me on the High Existence podcast. He flatters me… “Her path from the tech world to being CEO of an AI company, to psychedelic facilitator, medicine woman, and oracle creator is as vibrant and rich as her personality.”
Available on Spotify, Apple, or any podcast player.
[music] The video of Kate Bush’s Running Up That Hill was playing on the video screen on the subway platform in Mexico City. Then I saw it playing at the bank.
It all made sense when I learned it made history by hitting number one 37 years after the song was released in multiple countries. Lee Harris dropped a tender cover of it today. I’m fascinated to see it unfold for so many.
This video breaks down precisely what makes this song endure. I can’t even tell you what a deep itch everything about this scraches in me. I’ve been a fan since the Aerial album dropped in 2005.
[science] I have such a crush on Hank, let’s be honest. I love an unapologetic dork and he’s especially excited about the new telescope, the Webb. It’s impossible for me not to get excited with him about the new pretty pictures from a few billion light years away. We can now see even further into the past.
[beauty] We interleave science and beauty here at Sane and Sillies, so next up is Belgian artist Stromae with a behind-the-scenes tour of the artistic decisions of his most popular videos. Love him!! <3
[sweet] I usually* choose gluten-free foods, but fortunately no sugar or flour leaks through the screen. I find watching these be created to be ridiculously soothing.
Ok y’allsies… till next time,
Cris and Team Dragon
