Coordinates: Horus Pyramid View Hotel on the edge of the desert in Cairo
After a whirlwind experience at the YoSoy 5-day activation/ceremony/festival… I’m pooped. A scratchy sore throat is insisting I spend some time laying horizontal to take in all that happened. I’ll write more about it later, but the short net is that I was in the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid at 3 am 02/22/2022 for a never-to-be-forgotten sound ceremony.
[mummies] My adventure partner and I went to one of Cairo’s brand new museums. It opened this year with the grandest parade I’ve ever seen, which exceeded my imagination of how much pageantry was even possible.
[more mummies] Saqqara is just an hour’s drive south of Cairo. It’s one of the oldest pyramids and is still revealing secret tombs. The lion cub and cat mummies are not to be missed.
[math] Back to our regularly scheduled programming of esoteric math videos – Tesla’s obsession with 3-6-9 reveals a figure that looks oddly like the circle of the Enneagram’s 9 points. I have no idea if that means anything at all, but it is fun.
[sillies] What is says on the tin… never feed your cat whipped cream.
[calm] Regardless of whether you have any desire to cook Japanese food, this sweet grandma and her perfectly behaved grey poodle will charm your socks off. I watch it when I’m stressed and need to feel better about the world.
I'm in Egypt through the end of the month. I really want to offer my medicine to the people here, but there's no way they can afford my services given the exchange rate of the Egyptian pound. The women here have been through so much from FGM to the Arab Spring to constant pressure from men to say yes to things their body says no to.
