Ok then, it’s Friday again. In Spanish, the word is “viernes” owing to its association with Venus. All the days have a celestial origin, indeed, as our ancestors thought time to belong to such a realm as the heavens.
Let’s get to the TGIFunny…
[sillies] Your life will be undeniably better for fourteen minutes.
[art] Jim Henson did some weird and to my eye, mostly unwatchable, experiments when he wasn’t making the Sesame Street. This makes my heart so happy. I tinker around with crap all the time that’s never gonna be worthy of publication. It’s essential fertilizer though, I reckon. Jim secretly wanted to be a “serious” artist, not making kids’ shows. Life is so fascinating, no? Oh, and his biography is the bizwax. As a creative, I need to hear about the mess behind the scenes to put my own wibbles and wobbles into context.
[dark art] On the other hand, the unpublished and mostly unknown art of Dr. Seuss is JUST ahhhhmazing. Can I get this on a bedspread, please?
[more art] Performance art as life. An artist’s collective lives in a forgotten space in a shopping mall for *four* years.
[what?] I can’t tell whether this is a circus act, a magic trick, or a musical performance. Good.
[book] Tosha Silver’s It’s Not Your Money offers a welcome gulp of cool spring water from the muddy wreck that are most spiritual teachings about money. I highly recommend the audiobook as she’s just so damn cute. I’m in my third listening now.
